God Wants Us To Be Like Him |
The one verse in the Bible that really astounds me is: Psalm 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. This was repeated by the Son of God in:John 10:34 Yahuswa answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? My previous belief that it is a sin to desire to be like God was destroyed. Then I remember a verse I red before: Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. I also remember: Genesis 2:7 Then Yahuwah God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Now what happened? Why the words of the Son of God is not happening? He said: Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Here we are who came from the dust of the earth to become living humans by virtue of the image of God within us, but are unable to be like the Father in heaven. We keep on going back to the dust where we came from. The reason is obvious. We use our mind, heart and strength to reject the will of God that is within us. In other words, we are using our God given power against itself. Just like what Eve did in the beginning. Unfortunately, we don't even know we are contradicting God. We are sub-consciously programmed to go against God by leading us to contradict everything that He says. He said, you shall have no other gods before me. We honour the Sun, Moon, Tiw, Woden, Thor, Frigga, and Saturn by naming the days of the week after them. We welcomed the Dragon, this year. We even call His son god-Zeus, the god of the Greeks. He said, you shall not bow before idols. The church teaches us to pray and kneel before images of the saints and the Christ who we now know to be the son of Lucifer. The God of the Bible said, you shall not take the name of Yahuwah in vain. His name that appeared in the original Hebrew Scriptures more than 6,000 times were all replaced by the the phrase "the Lord" one by one. So, the name was taken in vain for being thrown to oblivion. He said, you shall remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. The Biblical calendar was replaced by the Julian calendar in 46 B.C., and followed by the Gregorian calendar in 1582, that resulted to forgetting of the Sabbath by the whole world. These are the will of the Father in heaven that our Saviour was talking about when He said: Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Nothing like these happen in heaven. That is why there is no pain, suffering, and death there. We all want to go to heaven, but as our Saviour said: Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Adam and Eve were driven out of the garden of Eden because they became less perfect than the Father in heaven. Our Saviour is telling us to be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect. He is also telling us to do what He says instead of just saying we believe in Him. He is telling us to do the will of the Father which is in heaven. If we refuse to do what He says, then we continue to join the many who follow the broad way that lead to the wide gate of destruction: Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. The will of God is always to make us be like Him. Let us align our will with His will. |
