Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread |
I have discussed the phrases in the Lord's Prayer: (1)"Holy be your name"; (2)"Your kingdom come"; and now, I will talk about (3) "Give us this day our daily bread." When I learned about the "The Last Supper", I thought the "bread" could mean more than just the bread or even the food on our dining table. It could mean the bread our Saviour was talking about in the following verse: Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. What I mean is that this "bread" which He said was His body is the same "image and likeness" we received in the beginning and everytime the egg is fertilized by the sperm into a zygote in our mother's womb. Everytime there is a new life, that life shares the bread, his image and likeness, his life giving presence, a part and parcel of His body. That means His presence is with you, me and all of us for as long as we live on earth. Why did the disciples need to eat the bread when it was already inside them? Eating the bread is acceptance, full acceptance. Because if it is not full you will throw up. That is what we do in our death bed, throwing up the life giving presence of God in us. That is also what I have been talking about, the harmful mind programming of our society making us reject and draw away from the life giving image of God in all of us. We have been practicing how to reject the image of God in us and draw away from it in the average lifetime of 75 years. That habit of rebellion becomes our character and nature that we bear in our next lease in life. After experiencing the healing vibration of the spiritual realm, we are reborn to do what we failed to do and undo what we did wrong. We again experience the same spell of mind programming that makes us forget our purpose of being here on earth: manifest the image and likeness of our creator. We need to breakout of this evil spell integrated in the matrix of our earthly life. As what our Saviour said: Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
