The Narrow Way |
I never heard the following verses being discussed in the church, print media, or any religious channels. It is possible that maybe I have not listened or watched every source available. Could it be that mankind is being led to follow the broad way and the wide gate that lead to destruction? Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. For many years I felt comfortable to be baptized and to belong with a religion that has the greatest number of followers in this world. However, these verses troubled me when I read them for the first time . It does not look like I am one of the few who found the gate and the way that lead to life. These verses portray the kind of faith and belief people had when the Son of God walked the earth from the day He was born until the day He was rejected, tortured, murdered, rose from the dead and went back to the Father in heaven. That was when He said the following words: John 18:36 Many preachers and god believers would think that it was just the way it should be. He was to die for the sins of His people. Really? Then why would He say: Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Did the conspirators of that time killed the Son of God to save their people from their sins? No. They killed Him because they were afraid of the Romans: John 11:48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. Did it work as intended? No. The Romans destroyed Jerusalem on August 10, 70 A.D., fulfilling the words of our Saviour: Matthew 24:2 And Not only the temple was destroyed, Israel was erased from the world map as a nation for almost 2,000 years. It doesn't look like God is happy to see His Son killed in Jerusalem. Furthermore, the wide gate and the broad way that led to destruction did not get any better. It got worse. The wide gate and the broadway that led people to worship other gods; bow before idols; forget the name of the Father; and forget the Sabbath which is the sign between the Father and His people are summoning the devil by calling on the Son of God with the name of the son of Lucifer: Two thousand years ago our Saviour, Yahuswah prophesied: John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. The wide gate and the broad way rejects the name: Yahuswah which means salvation of Yahuwah and receives the name Jesus that means god Zeus. |
