The Will of the Father |
In my Bible Study episode 29, I mentioned that the pain, suffering and death on earth are telling us that we are worshiping a wrong god. The god believing world thinks that there is only one god so there can be no mistake. If that is correct, then the earth should be like heaven where there is no pain, suffering and death. Matthew 12:29 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him The verse seems to suggest that there is a god of the dead. There is a strong reason to suspect that we are worshiping a wrong god. When the Son of God came, He healed the sick, the blind, the paralytic, the dumb, and raised the dead back to life. He was like His Father: John 10:30 I and my Father are one. People who heard Him say this wanted to stone Him. They did not like what He said and did. So, they mocked Him, tortured Him and murdered Him. How about us now? We say we believe in Him. Really? The root of our problem in this world is that we don't want to know what He really said, and pretend everything will be just alright. If you read the Bible you would find the following verse: Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. It is very clear. Ony he who does the will of the Father in heaven will enter into the kindom of heaven. Remember the word "does" in His words. The will of the Father is the commandments and statutes given to Moses and the prophets. We must do them with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. It is foolish to disregard the will of the Father and say we believe in His Son who died for the sins of His people, Israel. If we are not able to do all the commandments and the statutes because the world would not let us, at least we don't teach others to do the same: Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Our Saviour has the final say if he will be graceful to our transgression. Just keep the desire to do the Father's will burning in our hearts and do the best we can to observe them, but don't teach others saying the law and the prophets can be forgotten. |
