A man came to our beloved Saviour to tell about his son who was possessed by the devil since childhood. The disciples could not drive the evil spirit out of him. Our beloved Saviour said: "Oh faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I put up with you? bring him unto me. If you can believe, everything is possible to him that believe." Yahuswa commanded the evil spirit to leave the man, and not to return again. The evil spirit left the man look like dead, but Yahuswa took him by the hand and and helped him arise. Later on, the disciples asked privately why they could not do what He did. Mark 9:29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. Fasting now reveals itself as the ultimate healing procedure online, but as usual the mainstream medical profession does not promote it. Unfortunately, the church also remains silent about it. A scientific literature on Calorie restriction for enhanced longevity titled: "The role of novel dietary strategies in the present obesogenic environment" states "Calorie restriction (CR) is a potent modulator of longevity in multiple species. A growing body of evidence shows that sustained periods of CR without malnutrition improves risk factors involved in the pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and neurological disorders in humans". The book that really gave me my first scientific insight on fasting was: "The Miracle of Fasting" by Dr. Paul Bragg. Dr. Bragg advices not to do a longer fast until one has practiced a twenty-four hour fast a week for 3 to six month. If my memory will not fail me, I have done a twenty-four hour fast every Sabbath for more than 20 years from this writing. Now, I am thinking of longer fast once a year or maybe monthly. I started a 48 hour fasting this month and the feeling is good. It looks like I really did not very well in my previous lifetime. I need to fast more in this lifetime to modulate my negative "karma." |
