The Transfiguration Of Our Saviour

There was a time when a mysterious event now called the "Transfiguration of Yahuswa" which has been the subject of discussion among Bible scholars, about its meaning and significance. It is described by the following verses:

Mark 9:2 And after six days Jesus Yahuswa taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

Mark 9:3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

Mark 9:4 And there appeared unto them Elijah with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus Yahuswa.

Scholars wonder why Moses and Elijah were there. I think the meaning is very plain to see. Moses represents the will of the Father in the form of the ordinances and statutes entrusted to him. Elijah came again into this world in the person of John the Baptist who baptized the people of Israel including the Son of God himself. The following verses will make clearer the meaning of the event:

Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who calls out to me, 'Lord! Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

This is about Moses being there in the scenario. The following verse answers the question why Elijah or John the Baptist is there:

John 3:5 Jesus Yahuswa answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

So, we must do the will of the Father and be baptized with water and the holy Spirit to enter the kingdom of God. It looks like an impossibility, but remember what our Saviour said:

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus Yahuswa beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Amen.
