The Feast Of Unleavened Bread

Yesterday night was the Passover meal celebrated traditionally, commemorating the night when the angel of death killed all the first born of Egypt, while passing over the abode of the slaves, sparing their first born. Our Saviour celebrated the Passover by what is now known as the Last Supper. The next day, the Pharaoh freed the slaves. That is today a Sabbath day, the second Sabbath of the first month after the New Moon occured fifteen days ago. The Feast of Unleavened bread started at sun rise today and shall end after seven days.

Leviticus 23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month (1st month) is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD Yahuwah: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

The celebration requires the eating of unleavened bread for seven days to commemorate the time when the slaves went out of Egypt in haste so that they had to bake their bread without leveaning as they travelled across the desert. To make the story short, they reached the promise land after forty years. Forty years in the desert? What did they eat?

Exodus 16:35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

What is manna?

Exodus 16:8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD Yahuwah shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD Yahuwah heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD Yahuwah.

Manna is the bread that falls from the sky every morning. What kind of flesh for food was provided in the evening?

Exodus 16:13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.

Here is a God who can protect His people from the most powerful war machine; can feed them by raining bread from the sky and cause quials to appear from the dry sands of the desert for forty years. It should have taken them sooner to reach the promise land, but Israel chose to disobey the will of Yahuwah by worshipping their golden calf and other gods:

Numbers 32:13 And the LORD Yahuwah's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD Yahuwah, was consumed.

The same tradition of unfaithfulness and unbelief goes on in Isreal and the world today. The Son of God fed 5,000 people by just multiplying bread and fishes:

Matthew 14:19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

Matthew 14:21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Instead, the world continues to believe in Thomas Malthus and those who spray the sky with aluminum, the farmland with glyphosate, and the drinking water with chlorine. So, do not ask God why He allows hunger to plague the world. We hate Him and His ways.
