Last presentation I promised to talk about where the body gets water during a long fast like what Moses did in the desert. Scientist say the body can survive for forty days by getting energy from fats stored in our body. What about the water when there is nothing to drink? I will offer an explanation for that in this presentation. I will also answer a question posted online saying: "Would you have stopped the actions of Adam and Eve if you could?" Where does the body get water in a long fast? First, let us base our discussion on the prevailing knowlege that in the absence of food intake, the body switches to utilizing the fats stored in our body for energy production. Let us compare this energy production to the internal combustion engine of the car. Gasoline is composed of hydrodgen and carbon. When gasoline burns in the cylinder of the engine, the hydrogen combines with oxygen from the air to form water; while the carbon combines with oxygen to form carbon dioxide. The process is similar to the burning of fat in our body. Fat is composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Carbon combines with oxygen to form carbon dioxide, hydrogen combines with oxygen to form water. This is the water that supplies the need when drinking water is not available. If the process needs more oxygen, the oxygenated blood from the arteries meets that need. The body conserves water by slowing down perspiration and unination. This could be what our Saviour meant when He said: John 4:32 But he said unto them, I have food to eat that ye know not of. This is the knowledge of Science so far. Science says, the body can only survive for forty days with out food and drink. Is it possible for the body to survive longer than forty days. Well, everything is possible to Yahuwah God. Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Yes, that is exactly what is happening in the Kingdom. Here on earth things become impossible because we use the power of God in us against His will. |
