Never Make The Mistake Again |
When Adam and Eve were created in Eden, they were made to know all the good things Yahuwah bestowed on them: life, and everything they needed in order to live. They were also made aware of the evil of death, if they ate the forbidden fruit.
Genesis 2:17
But of the tree of the knowledge acceptance of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it:
for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
I have already explained that the word "knowledge" here should have been correctly translated to "acceptance" within the context of the scenario portrayed. Adam and Eve already knew good and evil before they ate the forbidden fruit. In other words, Yahuwah told them to accept only the good things given to them, and not the evil of death. Then came the Serpent saying:
Genesis 3:5
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened,
and ye shall be as gods, knowing accepting good and evil.
The Serpent was right. Eating the fruit made them accept the evil of death in addition to the good things, including their immortality that they already had. The problem is that they used the power of God in them to believe that they were not God. So, they lost part of their godliness for believing that they did not possess it. This is a great lesson that we can apply in our present time.
In the present time, we are using the power of the image of God in us against it, like what Adam and Eve did. Our beloved Saviour said:
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Then someone came saying:
Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
The verse contradicts the words spoken by the Son of God. If Paul really said this, then I would rather choose the words of our Saviour, not Paul's. I don't want to repeat the mistake of Adam and Eve listening to a message in Genesis 3:5 that contradicted the words of our Creator in Genesis 2:17.
Our Saviour said:
Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
So it was written, so it shall be.
