Dimensions Of Our Being

Science in school taught us that our body has different systems that maintains its life on earth, for example: the circulatory, the respiratory, the nervous system, etc. I realize that all of them are physical. The Bible tells us that the physical body is not all there is:

Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord Yahuwah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

The different dimensions of our being can be identified in this verse, and I will try to present it as clearly as I can.

Let us discuss Mark 12:30 first. The dimensions that I see are the heart (emotional body), soul (nature and character), mind (mental body), strength (physical body). They are not easy to distinguish because they are so integrated. Let us try to distinguish them from each other.

The heart in the Bible does not refer to the physical heart. The heart in the Bible refers to the spiritual heart called the "heart chakra" associated with our emotions like: love, hate, desire, like, dislike, etc.

The soul is the record of our positive and negative karma. It is associated with the way we respond to life's challenges and blessings, meaning our nature and character.

The mind is associated with the physical brain. The mind is the software and the brain is the hardward. If the heart is the "heart chakra" the mind is the "crown chakra." This is the crown that Jack broke in the the Nursery Rhyme, "Jack and Jill." We will discuss the meaning of that nursery rhyme later.

The word strength in the Matthew 12:30 refers to the physical body, our flesh body. The flesh body executes in the material world what the heart, soul and mind conceive. Our flesh body disintegrates back to the earth where it came from when we die. The other dimensions heart, soul, and mind survives and goes where ever the angels of Yahuwah will lead.

When all the four dimensions of our being align with the will of the Father, we attain perfection:

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
