The Blind Leads The Blind

Let me bring your attention to the words of our beloved Saviour in the following verse:

Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

This was the way our Saviour described the religious leaders two thousand years ago. Do we still have these kind of religious leaders today? Do the preachers of today teach about the following:

I. Name of the Father

Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

The faithful must know the name of the Lord so he can be saved.

II. Sabbath

Exodus 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

The most popular holy day now is Sunday. Muslims say it is Friday. The SDA say Saturday. Which one is correct? The answer is none of these are correct. Why? Because our Calendar now was not the Calendar when Yahuwah gave the Sabbath. The Gregorian Calendar now was implemented in 1600 A.D. It was preceded by the Julian Calendar in 46 B.C. The Julian Calendar was preceded by a Calendar that follows the moon cycle that takes about 30 days. The Sabbath that the preceding verse is talking about is based on that Calendar.

Our preachers and leaders these days are missing the following verses in the Bible:

Jeremiah 17:27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

Israel did not listen so Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans on August 10, 70 A.D.

Many preachers teach that it is enough to believe that the Son of God died for our sins. That is not what our Saviour said:

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

There are still many things like these, critical to our salvation that the leaders of today miss. We don't expect our leaders to be perfect, but at least they should encourage us to study the words of God in the Bible and align with it.
