The Feast Of Trumpets

There is a special Sabbath in addition to the weekly Sabbath. New moons are usually not Sabbaths, but this particular new moon, September 22, 2025, is called the Feast of of Trumpets, a Sabbath.

Leviticus 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

The verse says "first day" of the "seventh month" but why does the feast fall on the 22nd of the ninth month of this year 2025? This is because the bible is talking about the lunar calendar in ancient time. This is the confusion brought by the adoption of the Gregorian calendar in the 16th century A.D. I talked about this in Episode 70, titled "Reviewing The Biblical Sabbath."

This confuses the faithful who wants to know the will of the Father. The faithful is led away from what Yahuswa said:

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Israel still celebrates the feast correctly despite the Gregorian calendar. However, the rest of the faithful in the world is led to forget about it. The Father in heaven says the New Year is the first day of the Seventh Month of the Lunar calendar. The rest of the faithful in the world celebrates the New Year in the first day of the month of January, the month of the Roman god, Janus.

So, the rest of the faithful of the world confess faith in the Son of God, but do not the will of the Father in heaven.
