The God Of Israel

Let's talk about that event when the God of the Bible revealed who He really was to Moses. It is written in Exodus 3:15

Exodus 3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD Yahuwah God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

The name of our heavenly Father was in the original Hebrew text of this verse. The name distinguishes Him from Allah of Islam, Ra of Egypt, Zeus of the Greeks, or Jupiter of the Romans. Our English Bibles hide it with the phrase "the Lord." A lot of people embrace the notion that god believers pray to the same God because there is only one God. The God of the Bible does not say that:

Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD Yahuwah shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD Yahuwah hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD Yahuwah shall call.

It is also written:

Exodus 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

So it was written, so it shall be done.
