Let's hear an argument from a famous athiest, Peter Singer:
Already done in heaven:
It is wrong to say God does not do anything. He started doing something to
prevent suffering in His Kingdom in heaven.
Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his
angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan,
which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels
were cast out with him.
How could there be suffering in the world?
Revelation 12:12
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters
of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great
wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
The story goes like the earth has become a rehabilitation center for those
who were deported out of heaven. It's like a correctional prison for those
serving their sentence for the crimes they have committed. Now if you believe the
Father in heaven has not done anything to end suffering on earth, then what
Satan is doing on earth is perfectly working to make you think that way.
The last time He sent His Son healing the sick, blind, the paralytic and raised
the dead back to life He was tortured and murdered, and people say it did not
happen. People ask why send His Son to suffer on the cross when He could just
fixed everything at the click of the hand? The coming of the Son of God reveals
the true nature and character of our Soul. If you could not accept Him and
the message that He brings, that does not make you deserve the heaven that is to
come. If God will just fix everything and bring us all to heaven, what will we
do there, sabotage the perfection there again? No way.
The pain, suffering and death in this world tell us that we have done wrong.
Don't think you can make a short cut to heaven. It's unfair to the people
there who have maintained their fidelity until now.
