Neil deGrasse Tyson,
American astrophysicist, author, and science communicator, said:
"Death is not a reversible process by any known natural mechanism. The cessation of all
brain activity begins within four to six minutes of cardiac arrest without interventionl.
The nuerological damage that occurs within the first ten minutes of oxygen
deprivation is irreversible. After three days the biological process of decomposition
would be substantially advanced. No human being has ever been documented to have
raised from the dead under condition that would satisfy the standards of evidence
required in a modern medical context, not once." Tyson is also a famous Atheist.
On the contrary, Dr. Jeffrey Long, American radiation oncologist and researcher says:
"Here is an article by Dr. Sabom who was having an article about people who had
near death experiences. He was a cardiologist. His study group was people who
were clinically dead with cardiac arrest, and yet for those in his study that
had near death experiences the conscious separated from their body and from that
vantage point, what they saw, what they heard even though they were clinically dead
with an absent heartbeat, when we validated were accurate to the finest detail.
This led Dr. Long to establish the Near Death Experience Research Foundation (nderf.org),
documenting validated experiences
It seems to me that the pronouncement of Tyson lacks the information
presented by the documented study of Dr. Sabom. It is also possible that
Tyson thinks Dr. Sabom's study does not satisfy the standards of evidence required
in a modern medical context. However, the validation of near death experience to
be accurate to the finest detail weakens the standard of Tyson to a professional
opinion. The study clearly and strongly illustrates the reality that consciousness
survives and separates from the physical body when it dies. It also clearly and
strongly shows the ability of that consciousness to go back to the dead body and raise
it back to life.
This sheds light to the truth of our Saviour's words in:
Mathew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but
rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
So, in this earth the murderer only kills the flesh body, but not the soul.
We continue to live on another journey or go back to life sooner or later.
Dr. Sabom's study also confirms the truth in:
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do
shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
We can do what He did when He resurrected from the dead, and according
to scientific studies many have done it already. The words of our
Saviour are the words of truth and life.
My belief in the Son of God, virgin birth and resurrection is justified.
