The Meaning of the Last Supper

More than two thousand years ago, our beloved Saviour had His last Passover meal with His disciples. This was the traditional Passover of Yahuwah every 14th day evening of the first month, commemorating the night when the angel of death came for all the first born of Egypt, and passed over the first born of Israel at the time of Moses.

Matthew 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus Yahuswa took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

Matthew 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

What is the meaning of eating the bread which is His body and drinking the wine which is His blood. The meaning of eating and drinking is acceptance, full acceptance of the truth that we exist through Him:

John 1:3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

This means that everything from the atom to the cosmos was made and exists through Him. Without Him, we are dust. Even the dust would not exist without Him.

John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

This is the kind of light that has life in it. This is the image of God in us that makes us alive. The light that opens our consciousness, our awarenaess and comprehension. In other words, we all are the physical manisfestation of His presence in the world. Problem is, we refuse to eat the bread and drink the wine. Our acceptance is not full, so we throw up the bread and the wine in our death bed.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Ecclesiastes 12:8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

Indeed all is vanity, because man is supposed to live forever, but we choose to remain slave of sin and death:

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Luke 13:35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Until now the world says: "Blessed is he who comes in the name of Zeus", be calling Him god-Zeus.
