The Lord

Let us take a look at the following verse:

Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

The Bible that I first read was the King James Version. I developed a strong belief in its accuracy. Then I learned that the original Bible texts were written in Hebrew. I also learned that the word "LORD" is spelled in Hebrew as "aleph", "dalet", "vav", and "nun", pronounced "adon". The original Hebrew text of Joel 2:32 does not contain the Hebrew word "adon". The verse presents the English word "Lord" with a Hebrew word spelled "yud", "hey", "vav", and "hey" pronounced "Yahuwah", the name of the Father in Hebrew. The verse should have been translatedd better as:

Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Yahuwah shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as Yahuwah hath said, and in the remnant whom Yahuwah shall call.

The fact that this happens more than six thousand times in the King James Version that I have been reading makes me suspect that there is an intention to erase the name Yahuwah in the minds of Bible readers. On the other hand, the intention of the Father to make His people remember His name can be discerned in the Scripture. In fact, He complained about those who make His people forget His name:

Jeremeiah 23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

It's interesting to note that there was an improper noun "baal" used to mean "owner" or by extension "lord" in ancient time. It looks like the ancient tradition of making people forget the name "Yahuwah" for "Baal" is integrated in the Bible. It makes me wonder why my religion is silent about this. This is a salvations issue that my religion seems to ignore. It does not help me to be saved.
